Hello all,

I am late to this party, but I wanted to add what I play ...

I play a Benge 1973 LA horn - ML bore with a Curry 30m mpc. It's my only horn and really all I know. I may have asked this before, but what's the view out there on the early 70s Benges and what the 30m Curry adds to things?

Thanks,

Stephen

Tell Matt that Jon Gorrie sends his regards from Sweden. I think we played in the same performance of Mahler 2 with the APO in 2002 or 2003. From memory, Norm was playing 1st, and Australian guy (Bruno?) 2nd, Steven was on 3rd and I was playing 4th, and Matt may have been in the off stage brass from what I recall.

Which brass band are you in? Congrats on the promotion by the way!

Steve B sends his best!
He was also wondering if that was the one where you had to play from the four corners of the hall?

Thanks! I think that's how we did it, yeah. From what I remember, I was on stage the whole time, and I think Steve had to go to one of the corners of the hall in his socks so as not to make too much noise! :)
