Groove Bone RadioGroove Bone Radio is a internet radio dedicated to the trombone!

The radio show features the trombone on jazz small group and big band, Latin jazz, and funk/rock recordings. It was created by trombonist, bandleader, and educator Dave Dickey on Sept 1st of 2004. Groove Bone is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free to listen to.

Dave Dickey was a former jazz radio DJ for WDNA in Miami, FL for 5 years and WEFT in Champaign, IL for 4 years. He is currently working on starting a jazz radio show in Saint Louis, MO. Dave has collected many recordings over the years, plus receives CDs frequently from trombonists all over the world to have their CD played on Groove Bone Radio.

Groove Bone Radio also has a website at On this website you can see the current play list of what is being played on Groove Bone Radio (plus it shows who the trombone soloist is on each recording), over 240 trombone videos, many links, pictures, tributes, and also the Groove Bone Autograph CD contest. Each month is a new contest and past CDs given away are autographed CDs from trombonist such as Fred Wesley, Jim Pugh, John Fedchock, Robin Eubanks, Michael Davis, Bonerama (signed by all the musicians in the band), Mark Nightingale, Tom Garling, Phil Wilson, Ed Neumeister, Steve Wiest, and others.
