Another video in our “Playing changes” series. This time, with Clifford Brown (October 30, 1930 – June 26, 1956), aka “Brownie”.

Clifford Brown was an influential and respected American jazz trumpeter, who tragically died at age 25, in a car crash. Clifford has been said to have influenced later jazz trumpet players, including Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan, Booker Little, Freddie Hubbard, Valery Ponomarev, and Wynton Marsalis.

    Why is there a picture of Miles Davis on the movie clip? The audio is Clifford alright….

      That’s a very good question! Perhaps Mike (the article poster) can answer
      it? My guess is because a) the person who uploaded the movie clip attached
      the wrong image or b) Miles was influenced by Clifford?
